Yesterday's emergency budget was a bit of a bitter pill to have to swallow. Perhaps all of us would be more accepting of the higher taxes and levies if we thought the government could rein in spending and provide better value for money, particularly in healthcare. However it's not all doom and gloom for job watchers!
LEAN SIX SIGMA AND CAREER SECURITY - SOME GOOD NEWS!
In these recessionary times it's nice to know that lean and six sigma professionals are in high demand in Ireland. A quick straw poll of the major search engines revealed the following demand for lean and six sigma competency in disciplines as diverse as engineering, production, quality assurance and quality control, EHS and healthcare.

Interpretation of the table involves understanding that here are many duplications in the advertisements e.g. a number of recruitment agencies will have the same ad posted on a website. Nonetheless demand for knowledge in problem solving, error proofing and process design is reassuringly high.
