    COWEN BIDS TO DRUM UP BUSINESS IN NY: 13th July 2010
    “The focus of all efforts must be the entrepreneur and enterprise,” Taoiseach Mr. Brian Cowen told a breakfast audience of some two dozen people at the New York stock exchange, on July 12th 2010. Over the next five years, the National Pension Reserve Fund (NPRF) and Enterprise Ireland are to provide €250 million for the scheme, which is intended to lure venture capital to Ireland.     THE TEAM

    Cordatus consultants are experienced change agents in ISO, IMB, and FDA regulated environments.     Principal Consultant & Managing Director
    Bernadette Rushe, BSc, Dip SA, CPIM, MSc

     

     Bernie has been involved in the management of supply chain and business process improvement activities for over 20 years. She received her Lean and Six Sigma training at Dell Computer Corporation. In 2001 she left Dell to establish Cordatus. She specialises in working with senior management teams to develop a vision of organisation competitiveness and a practical roadmap to deliver that vision. Her consulting skills and practical workshops have yielded benefits in the order of several €millions per annum to client companies. She holds a first class honours masters' degree in Supply Chain management. Horse riding, music, cinema, art, and spending time with her family and friends are her main social interests. 

     

    Senior Consultant & Trainer - Lean & Six Sigma Toolkit
    Kevin Phelan, B Tech, MSc

     Kevin, an ASQ certified Six Sigma Black Belt, graduated from the University of Limerick in 1989. Before becoming a full time consultant he worked for the Ford Motor Company and Harris Semiconductor. He specialises in the area of Lean and Six Sigma toolkit skills transfer and has trained hundreds of personnel across all industry sectors including Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Electronics, Medical Devices and Semi Conductor. He has consulted on projects yielding several €M savings to client companies. A gifted trainer, Kevin makes statistical methodology an interesting and lively learning experience! He holds a Masters Degree in Design of Experiments from the University of Limerick.
    In his spare time Kevin is an enthusiastic amateur triathlon competitor.

     


    Senior Consultant & Trainer
    Pat Scott, B.E. hons, Dip hons Lean Quality
       

    Pat has over 18 years experience in operations, engineering, project and people management with world class organisations. He has initiated and led lean improvement teams (size varying from 10 to 500) in pursuit of improved performance in a world class-manufacturing/operations environment, with ISO and various certified quality standards. Pat was programme manager for the introduction of Lean practice to the Intel, Leixlip, IFO site. He completed a post Grad Dip in Lean in 2006 and currently completing a masters program. Pat is actively involved in lean consulting in a range of sectors including: the public health sector, pharmaceutical manufacture, medical devices and food processing. Pat is married with three children and lives in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

     

     

    MEMBERSHIPS & AFFILIATIONS

     

     

    Cordatus is a training partner of First Polymer Training in Athlone. Together we design and facilitate first-class lean and six sigma public training programmes e.g. Quick changeover (SMED), Statistical Process Control (SPC) nad Design of Experiments (DOE).

     

     Both Kevin Phelan and Bernie Rushe are members of the American Society for Quality.
