“I have worked with both Bernie Rushe and Pat Cullinane of Cordatus Consulting in the development and delivery of yellow belt, green belt and black belt courses for Allergan Clonshaugh. Cordatus have also carried out lean six sigma sponsor training with the site management team which is proving invaluable in ensuring project success. As the Operational Excellence lead for the site, and a candidate on the Cordatus black belt course, I’ve had the opportunity to experience their service offerings from a number of perspectives. They are professional and innovative in the facilitation of lean six sigma courses, and responsive to Allergan’s particular needs. The response from attendees at their courses is very favourable, which results in increasing interest from our employees to “get involved” in the programme. As facilitators they are results focused, and the plant is enjoying excellent results from the projects being completed.
In our OpEx journey Cordatus are playing a key role in ensuring we continue to mature our programme and meet our organisational goals.
It is a pleasure to work with them and I have no hesitation in recommending them for process improvement training and project mentoring.”

I attended the Introduction to Lean Thinking workshop delivered by Bernie Rushe of Cordatus Consulting on Thursday April 18th 2013 at the Clayton Hotel in Galway. I found the course to be delivered in a very practical manner, without the use of a single PowerPoint slide! Interactive learning was a key feature. None of the learning material was over complicated with the introduction of attendees to the principles of Lean achieved through the use of a simple every-day scenario portrayed on a DVD. Further learning learning objectives of the day such as the demonstration of “push” versus “pull” manufacturing systems were then achieved through the use of Serious Games and role play with attendees encouraged to work in teams throughout. Overall, I found the Workshop to be highly beneficial for those employees attempting to embrace the Lean ethos for the first time, with the training delivery methods allowing attendees to grasp the principles of Lean and associate them with their own workplace.

” We at Elan (now Alkermes), Athlone, considered a number of partners, in 2008, to help us on our road to Operational Excellence. Following these considerations, Cordatus became our partner of choice, based on their experience, on feedback we received from those who were employing Cordatus and based on the Cordatus personnel we met as part of our decision process.
Those same Cordatus personnel have continued to support us since then, helping us to create a culture of continuous improvement and to develop a business strategy which has operational excellence as a cornerstone”.
